The Sophia maintains an atmosphere of happiness, relaxation and eagerness to learn. Learning here is a collaborative and activity-based; the students are trained to avoid stress and unhealthy competition.
It is a student-centred institution that has a set project to enkindle and develop the innate trait of a child. While upholding the universal brotherhood and national fraternity, the Sophia has the set agenda to develop the best that is dormant or latent in a child, then to equip them to face the challenges of the fast changing world by means of self-discipline, excellent intellectual formation, accompanied by spiritual, moral, cultural and physical fitness.
The Sophia keeps the students as its centre. This may be explained in terms of a pyramid (∆) in which the children have the position of the peak point and the supporting structures have a serving role in relation to the peak point of the children.
The Sophia has a body of the teachers, who are conscious of their role as educators and formators. They try their best to learn from the children and grow consciously by interacting with them and in this manner the students of Sophia are equally partakers of the Sophia educational project.
